PHILLIPS, several miles southwest of Roanoke, her daughter, Miss Bessie, was married to Mr. Posey L. BAIRD. Rev. O. L. MILLICAN performed the ceremony, which was witnessed by a large company of the friends of these excellent young people. The following day a dinner and reception was given the bridal party at the home of the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. [James Thomas] BAIRD. Zion Christian Church Cemetery, SW of Roanoke. James Thomas BAIRD, 24 Mar 1861--26 Oct 1938, Emma DeLOACH BAIRD, 1 May 1860--4 Apr 1925; Lina Bell BAIRD MITCHUM, 9 Apr 1892--5 Mar 1975, and James Dallas BAIRD, 26 Feb 1890--21 Sep 1967, were children of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. BAIRD, and siblings of Posey L. BAIRD. All four are interred in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke.
