Monday Mr. George W. POORE, of Broughton, was in town with his attractive bride, who was Miss Una DYE, of East Vernon, near LaGrange, Ga. They were married December 28th [1914]. Mrs. POORE is a grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. WILLIAMS, of this city [Roanoke], and it was while visiting them last summer that the acquaintance and courtship of the young couple began. They met by chance at the “holiness” tent meeting. Mr. POORE is The Leader’s representative at Broughton. [Paragraph deleted] To both these young couples, starting upon life’s matrimonial voyage with such high hopes and bright anticipations, The Leader extends its hearty good wishes.
