Blalock Died Sunday Night William Glenn Blalock, aged 29 years, died at residence of his mother, Mrs. Fannie Blalock, 106 McCollister street, Phenix City, Sunday night at 7:30 o'clock, after an illness of three weeks with menengitis. Mr. Blalock is survived by his wife, Mrs. W. G. Blalock, his mother, Mrs. Fannie Blalock; three brothers, E. J., J. M., and R. N. Blalock, all of Phenix City, and two sisters, Mrs. H. B. Daniel of Jackson, Tenn., and Mrs. C. K. Dunn, of Salem, Ala., all of whom have the deepest sympathy of their many friends in their sad hours of bereavement. The remains were carried to Hollis Tank, Ala. this afternoon at 2:10 o'clock over the Central of Georgia. The funeral will be conducted from Union Grove church, near Hollis Tank and the remains will be tenderly laid to rest in the church buyring grounds. Columbus Daily Enquirer 17 Feb 1914 vol.. Blalock, aged 29 years, died at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Fannie Blalock, No. 106 McCollister's street, Phenix City, Sunday night at 7:30 o'clock, after an illness of three weeks of meningitis. Besides his wife he leaves his mother and three brothers Moses E., J. J. M., and R. J. Blalock, of Phenix City, and two sisters Mrs. H. B. Daniel, of Tennessee and Mrs. C. K. Dunn, of Salem, to mourn his loss, all of whom have the deep sympathy of a host of friends. The remains were carried yesterday on the 2:40 train to Hollis Tank. The funeral and interment took place yesterday afternoon at Union Grove church. The pallbearers were Messrs. D. F. and J. I. Smith, C. L. Raiford, C. L. Hamilton, N. L. England and J. W. Harris.
