Mrs. Berta Boyd Died Yesterday
The sad death of Mrs. Berta Boyd occurred at her home on North Railroad 
street, Phenix City, at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, after an illness of two 
weeeks of fever.
  The deceased was 61 years of age and was held in high esteem by all who knew 
her. She was s devoted member of the MeMthodist church, and in her death the 
church has indeed sustained a great loss.
  Besides her husband, Mr. A. N. Boyd, she is survived by two children, Mr. 
George W. Boyd and Mrs. Nettie Randall, of Phenix City. She is also survived 
by four sisters, Mrs. J. B. Lynn, Miss Amanda Beland, of Phenix City, Mrs. S. 
L. Carden, of Columbus, and Mrs. W. A. Moore, of Chattanooga, Tenn.
  The funeral will take place from the late residence at 3 o'clock this 
afternoon, the service being conducted by the Rev. J. W. Reinhardt, and the 
remains will be interred in Linwood cemetery.
