Mrs. Gordon, the stepmother of Governor John B. Gordon, died at the home of her 
grandson in Russell County, Ala. on June 16th.  She was eighty years of age, 
and had been a member of the Baptist church for over sixty years.  Her remains 
were interred at Cave Springs.
