Mrs. Amanda Griffeth Dies in Phenix City.
Mrs. Amanda Griffeth, aged 61 years, died yesterday at 11 a. m. at her 
residence on Eighth avenue, Phenix City, after an illness of five days of 
acute indigestion and neuralgia of the heart. Besides her grief stricken 
husband, Mr. D. T. Grifffeth, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ella Blanchard 
and Mrs. Lucy Gullatt, and one sister, Mrs. Lucinda Jones of Phenix City, all 
of whom have the deep sympathy of a host of friends in their sad bereavement. 
The deceased was a devout member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was 
beloved by all who knew her. The funeral will be conducted from the residence 
at 2:30 p. m. today by Rev. Norman McLeod and Rev. O. C. Dobbs. Interment will 
be in Lynnwood cemetery.
