Carroll Hood - Russell Co., AL Aug 9, 1932, Enquirer Sun, Columbus, GA, OBIUTARY OF MRS. MARY H. (CARROLL) HOOD: Mrs. Mary H. Hood, 47, died Monday morning at 10:20 o'clock at the residence of her sister, Mrs. W.H. Parks, 306 Broad Street, Girard section of Phenix City, following an illness of several weeks. Besides her husband, P(ercy)W(alker) Hood, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Angus Maline, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Grover Alred, Opelika Ala.; Mrs. Trammel Little, Columbus, and Mrs. Helen Hood of Phenix City; three sons, Durwood and Carlton Hood of Phenix City, and Darrell Hood of Burlington, NC and adopted son, Tommie Mitchell, of Phenix City; four sisters, Mrs. J.W. Campbell of Timmonsville, SC; Mrs. J.H. Carpenter, of columbus; Mrs. W.H. Parks of Phenix City, and Mrs. W.S. Storey, of Harris County, GA; two brothers, J.M. Carroll, Phenix City, and F.D Carroll of Lanette, Ala. Funeral services will be held at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Carl S. Miller, pastor of North Phenix Baptist Church,will officiate, and interment will be in the church cemetery. The following will serve as pallbeearers: Robert Hood, Girvis Hood, Jack Hood, Harvey Parks, U.L. Webb and Grover Alred.
