(no date on the following obit, but I found him on 1930 census in
 Dekalb Co. GA, Militia District 531, Dist. 19, age 54, wife Susan A, 47,
& 5 children .)

J. Linton Moore. Decatur, GA, Aug. 1 (AP)--J. Linton Moore, 62, 
inventor of surveying and shoe repairing instruments, died today.
     A native of Phenix City, Ala., he was shop superintendent of a shoe machinery firm.
