H. Nickols, aged 59 years, died at his residence on Second Street, Girard, yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock after an illness of about six months. Mr. Nickols was a member of the Christian church and was highly esteemed as a citizen. His death is regretted by his many friends who sympathize with the relatives in their sorrow. Besides his wife, Mr. Nickols is survived by six children who are Messrs. John, Chris, William, and Frank, all of whom reside in Girard, and two daughters, Mrs. Emma Mathis and Miss May Nickols. He is also survived by a brother, Mr. Chris Nickols of Lineville, Ala., and two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Brooks of Lineville, Ala. and Mrs. Cowet [Cowart] of Montgomery. The remains will be taken to Roanoke, Ala., this afternoon at 2:20 o'clock, and from there to Forrester Chapel, twelve miles from Roanoke, where the funeral and interment will take place at ten o'clock Saturday morning.
