SMITH Samuel A. Smith, 18, died at his residence, near Crawford, Ala. Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Hughley, of Crawford, Ala. Ala; five sisters, Mrs. B.W. Allen, Montgomery; Mrs. Nora Jones, Columbus; Miss Mary Smith and Miss Maggie Hughley, Crawford; two brothers, James and Earl Smith of Crawford. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence, conducted by Rev. J.J. Justice, paster of West Side Baptist Church, Phenix City. Internment was made in Hopewell Cemetery, near Crawford. The following served as pallbearers; K.S. Barker, E.O. Watson, Ralph Fuller, Kenneth Parker, William Willamson and Waddell Byers. J.W.
