Hosey, March 25, 2004 This is a partial survey. The Harkey’s Chapel United Methodist Church is located in Coal City (Coal Mountain), Alabama outside of Pell City. There cemeteries on both sides of the church. The older cemetery is on the left side and the newer cemetery is on the right side. The church was established in the 1850 time period. Directions: From Pell City, travel 231 north and turn right on CR 144. Go about 2 miles. The church will be on the right.
