SEDDON CEMETERY (PARTIAL), Near Pell City, St. Clair, Alabama

This is a partial survey.

Directions: From Pell City, travel east on Hwy. 78.  Look for Truss Ferry Rd. 
and turn right.  Turn left at Seddon Shores Drive.  See Cemetery in front of 
you.

As you enter the cemetery, a sign reads that the cemetery was established in 
1800.  

There are two markers in this cemetery.  

One reads:
“In memory of Maj. James D. Truss, Martha Cordelia Coleman Truss, William 
Coleman Truss, originally interred in Truss family cemetery, reestablished at 
this site to permit the building of Lake Logan Martin, January 1, 1968.”

The other reads:
“Ninety one graves of the Truss family cemetery now part of Logan Martin 
Reservoir were relocated to this site in November 1962.”
