Survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Simpson; three sons, Shirley Ernest and Robert V. Simpson, both of Birmingham, and A. Louis Simpson of Leeds, Alabama; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruth Elliot (should be GIBSON), and Mrs. Billie Jo Simpson Craw of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Grady W. Simpson of Birmingham; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Hodges and Mrs. Annie Guyton, both of Birmingham and Mrs. Stella Rawson of Trussville; several neices and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at Roebuck Chappel. Interment Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Member of Dolcito Masonic Lodge # 596. Additional Comments: Shirley Simpson, son of James Grant Simpson, grandson of James Simpson, Great Grandson of Thomas Simpson, was born July 4, 1898. He married Louisa Daisy Little on 03 Jun 1921, in St. Clair County, Odenville, Alabama. They had six children, before Daisy died on 20 Feb 1936. Daisy was the daughter of George W. Little and Theodocia "Doshia" McLaughlin.
