The 'angel of death' has laid his cold hand very heavily on the house of J. J. Willingham who lives about four miles from this place. We are informed that at the time of this writing three corpses are lying in the room at his dwelling, while two or three other members of the family are suffering from the scorching fever of pneumonia. On last Saturday night his daughter-in-law, the wife of Robert Willingham, died. On Monday night his wife died and on Sunday Susie Willingham, the daughter of Robert Willingham, also died. Robert Willingham went to Tennessee several days ago and left his family well. Owing to - failed to convey the sad news to him until his mother, wife and daughter were cold in death. Who can imagine the sorrow of this man on receiving this news. The bodies will be buried at the Coosa Valley burying ground. They intend for the burial to take place about Wednesday at 10 o'clock, provided Robert Willingham returns by that time. We extend to the bereaved families and friends of the deceased our heart felt sympathies in this great bereavement and pray God that he may comfort them in their sorrows and that he may speedily raise those of the family who are still suffering from their beds of affliction and restore them to health."
