Stedham & Malinda Catharine Husband and wife for and in consideration of one hundred dollars to us in hand paid by W. S. Bowdon the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day sold and by these presents do sell alien and convey unto W. S. Bowdon his heirs and assigns the following lands to wit the S. E. 1/4 & the N. E. 1/4 of S. W. 1/4 and W. 1/2 of S. W. 1/4 of sec 36 T. 19 R. 1 East containing two hundred and seventy seven acres & 48/100, to have and to hold the same to his own use & behoof forever & we will warrant & forever defend the title to said land to sais Bowdon his heirs and assigns. Stedham and Malinda C Stidham the grantors in the conveyance voluntarily executed the same in his presence and in the presence of the other subscribing witness on the day the same bears date that the attested the same in the presence of the grantors and of the other witness and that such other witnes subscribed his name as a witness in his presence.
