State of Alabama County of Shelby To the Honorable Board of Examiners of said County: Your petitioner, Mrs. Bettie Randall respectfully represents to your Honorable Board, that she is a citizen of Shelby County, in the State of Alabama, and was such on the first day of January 1901; That she is the widow of C. F. Randall, who served as a private in Company B of the 2nd Regiment Alabama Cavalry Volunteers; That her husband was killed, or died, on the 7 Apr day of 1891; That he did not desert the service of the State of Alabama, nor of the Confederate States; ___________________________ no children upon whom she can depend for support, that all of her property do not exceed four three hundred dollars in value, and that her annual income from all sources do not exceed four three hundred dollars. She therefore respectfully asks your honorable board to place her name upon the pension rolls of the State as a member of the fourth class, that she may participate in the division of the fund provided for the relief of needy Confederate soldiers and sailors, and their widows, by an act of the General Assembly of Alabama, approved February 10, 1899. Lyman, Judge of County Court of Shelby County, in and for said State and county, personally appeared Bettie Randall, who being by me first duly sworn, deposes and says that she is a resident of Shelby County, Alabama, her post office address being Montevallo, Alabama; that she is a widow of Charles F. Randall, who served in the Confederate Army as private being in the 2nd Regiment of Ala. Cavalry; that she was born at or near, LaFayette, in the County of Chambers, State of Alabama, on the 26 day of March 1843, being 72 years of age at the time of making this affidavit; that she is now on the pension roll of Shelby County under number 21733. Affiant further states that she hereby makes application under an act approved March 8, 1915, to be placed on the reclassified pension roll.
