The Weekly Constitution, Atlanta, Ga. March 30, 1903
Birmingham, Ala., March 27. -- The jail at north Birmingham was burned at an 
early hour this morning.

J. C. Beecham, white, arrested last night on a charge of being wanted in 
Winder, Ga., for forgery, is thought to have been cremated.

No trace of him can be found.
