Brewer, son of Col. S.L. Brewer, died at his home in Birmingham, Ala., April 17th, 1919. Mr. Brewer was born in Monroe County but in early life moved to Taylor County. He was a faithful soldier in the war of the Sixties, going away with Major Fickling Co. He was wounded in the battle of Gettysburg. Mr. Brewer was a faithful member of the Methodist church. He moved to Birmingham, Ala. about 40 years ago. His wife, Mrs. Lizzie Rhodes Brewer, formerly of this county, preceded him to the grave two years ago. Mr. Brewer is survived by three daughters, namely: Mrs. Addie Abbert, Miss Mattie Brewer and Mrs. Gussie Hall, all of Alabama. He is also survived by four brothers and six sisters. J.E.
