11/22/1973 Fort Wayne Journal - Gazette, IN
Services for Mrs. Effie M. Purcell, formerly of 104 E. Williams St., will be 
at 2:30p.m. Friday at the Mausoleum Chapel of Greenlawn Memorial Park. 
She died yesterday morning in Parkview Memorial Hospital and had resided 10 
years in the Allen County Health Center.
Surviving are a son, Edward L., Fort Wayne; and three daughters, Mrs. Opal 
Herzog and Mrs. Beulah Wilkinson, both of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Jane Stone, New 
Haven.
Arrangements are by C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home. There are no calling 
hours.

Additional Comments:
Note: Effie was b. 4/17/1883 Shelby Co., AL to William and Sarah Carter 
Kirkpatrick. She married Charles Rolley Cross 9/6/1911 and later married 
Ernest Lynn Purcell who preceded her in death. The children listed in her 
obituary were her stepchildren.
