In the name of God, Amen, I Samuel Junkin of the County of Shelby & State of Alabama being sick and weak of body, but of sound mind and disposing memory, thanks be to Almighty God for the same and calling to mind the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do constitute and ordain this my last will and testament in form and manner following: Imprimis My will and desire is that all debts due me be it of what nature or kind soever should be collected and all my just debts of every description should be paid by my executor hereafter named... Item..I give and bequeath to my dear brothers William, James, Robert and David Junkins and sister Jane fifty cents each, the same I give and bequeath to them and their heirs forever. Item...I give and bequeath unto Silas Junkins whatever sum he may have sold my waggon for, which was in his possession, the same I give and bequeath to him and his heirs forever Item...I give and bequeath unto my dear brother G. B. Evans (in case he moves to this country) ten dollars, to him and his heairs forever. Item...I lend the use of all my property be it of what nature or kind soever; that I may die possessed of, including all debts owing me, the same I lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth Junkins during her natural life; and at her death to be disposed of as hereafter named. Item I give and bequeath at my wife's death all the property be it if what nature or kind soever which I lent her, to my beloved Friend and relative, Washington Crawford, to him and his heirs forever. Lastly, I nominate and appoint the said Washington Crawford my whole and sole Executor to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 27 Day of October 1834.
