Witnesseth: That the said Lucinda C Billue and W T Billue, for and in consideration of the sum of 250.00 dollars to them in hand paid by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has this day granted, bargained, sold, aliened, eufeoffed and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, eufeoff and convey to the said P S Williams, one individual one half interest in and to all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Talladega, and state of Alabama, and more particularly described as follows, to wit: All that certain tract or parcel of land bounded as follows, to wit: by a line commencing at the south west corner of the land known as the Stephen D Billue land lying immediately north of the right of way of the East Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia RRs and west of the City of Talladega and at the point where the dividing line between said Billue land and the land of George W Chambers (bought of him of J W Kilpatrick) intersecting the northerly boundary line of said right of way and running thence north 2 degrees 35' each about 505 feet to a ditch, thence along said ditch which intersects the southerly boundary line of the land of Warner Elston bought of Mrs. Lucinda C Billue on the 29th Oct 1880, thence in an easterly direction on a straight line to the northwest corner of the lot sold by Jim Waters to ---- Smith, thence in a southerly direction along the westerly boundary line of said Smith lot 160 feet to said ditch, thence 25 feet in an easterly direction along the southerly boundary line of said Smith lot to a point and thence in a southerly direction 210 feet to a point on said right away 606 feet from the point of beginning and thence in a westerly direction 606 feet to the point of beginning. To have and to hold the above described tract of land or parcel of land together with the tenements and appurtenances thereto belonging to said P S Williams, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Lucinda C Billue and W T Billue of the first part for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, do warrant and will forever defend the title to the above described and hereby granted premises, unto the part of the second part his heirs and assigns from and against them and all and every person claiming or holding under them, the said part of the first part, and against the lawful title, claim or demand of all and every person whomsoever claiming or holding or under the Government of the United States. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written. Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of M D Ivey......signed L C Billue and W T Billue The State of Alabama, County of Talladega I, M D Ivey, clerk Probate Court, in and for said county, in said state, hereby certify that W T Billue and Mrs. L C Billue whose names are signed to the foregoing conveyance, and who are known to me, acknowledged before me this day that being informed of the content of the conveyance, they executed the same voluntarily on the say the same bears date. The State of Alabama, Talladega County I, G K Miller, Judge of the Probate Court of said county, hereby certify that the foregoing conveyance was filed for registration in this office at 4:00pm on the 9th day of October 1890, and recorded in Vol PP Record of Deeds, pages 531-2 on the 11th day of Oct 1890. Given under my hand at office, this 11th day of Oct 1890 G K Miller, Judge Probate Additional Comments: Lucinda C BILLUE was the widow of Stephen D BILLUE, her second husband who died in 1871. She was previously married to Robert WORTHINGTON who died in 1864 in the Civil War in Georgia. Their daughter, Mary Alice WORTHINGTON, married P. S. WILLIAMS. In this 1890 deed, Lucinda and her son W. T.(Tom) BILLUE sold a portion of the Billue land to her son-in-law P.S. WILLIAMS. Lucinda C. Sisson Worthington Billue, Peter Samuel Williams and Mary Alice Worthington Williams are buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Talladega County.
