Now the above tract or parcel of land is given for the following purpose and Time? ________ for the purpose of a Campground Meeting house and grave yard as place of public worship for the special use of the Methodist Episcopal church and for these purposes I have given and granted and confirmed unto the afore said trustees ______ Isaac King, Soloman Martin, John Driskill, Charles Carter and Robert Little and their successors in office forever so long as the above described tract of land may be used as a place of public worship by the Methodist Episcopal church be it understood that the above Trustees acquire no personal interest in the above land more than as trustees for said church nor does the acquire any right to said land further than for the above specified purposes now so long as the above described land may be used for the above specified. I am held and firmly bound unto the said Isaac Kirksey, Soloman Martin, John Driskill, Charles Carter and Robert Little and their successors Trustees for the Methodist Episcopal Church in the ________ _______ sum of one Thousand Dollars good and lawful money of the state of Alabama for the payment of which will and truly to be made. I bind myself my heirs executors and assigns forever in _____ whereof. I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal conditions that I do forever defend the title to the above tract of land to Isaac Kirksey, Soloman Martin, John Driskill, Charles Carter and Robert Little and their successor Trustees for the above specified purpose now if I do defend said title to said land thus this obligation is void otherwise to remain in full force date this 9 day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five James Dorsey (seal) Soloman Martin Isaac Kirksey James Bailey? James Dorsey was my g-g-grandfather and I'm sure he is probably buried in the cemetery associated with this church.
