State of Alabama, Talladega County (File #1087, Mardisville land office) I do solumnly swear that I cultivated a portion of the North E. Quarter of Section Thirty-Three in Township Four and Range Nine. Each in the Coosa Land district in the year 1833, and that I was a householder upon and in posession of the same on the 19th day of June 1834. And that there is no other person Whitso to in pre-uptption thereon-- Witnessed my hand and Seal......Manuel W. Loving Sworn to and subscribed before me on the 29th day of Sept. 1834. Wm. Loving and also with the North East Quarter of Section thirty-three in township fourteen, range nine east in Coosa Land district and that the said Loving cultivated a portion of the said quarter section in the year 1833 and was a househoulder upon and in possession of the same on the 19th day of June 1834--and that there is no other person whitso to a pre-umption thereupon --Witness my hand and seal.....George C. To all whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Whereas, Manuel Walton Loving, of Benton County, Alabama, has deposited in the General Land Office of the United States, a certifacate of the register of the land office at Mardisville whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Maneul Walton Loving according to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24th of April 1820, entitled :An Act making further provision for the sale of Public Lands for the East half of the North East quarter of section thirty-three, in Township fourteen, of Range nine East, in the district of lands subject to sale at Mardisville, Alabama, containing eighty acres, and thirty hundredths of an acre according to the official plat of the survey of the said lands, returned to the Genearl Land Office by the Surveyor General, which said tract has been purchased by the said Manuel Walton Loving. Now know ye, that the United States of America, in consideration of the Premises, and in conformity with the several acts of Congress, in such case made and provided, have given and granted, and by these presents do give and grant, unto the said Manuel Walton Loving and to his heirs, the said tract above described: To have and to hold the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said Manuel Walton Loving and to his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereof, I, Martin Van Buren President of the United States of America, have cased these letters to be made patent and the seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed. Given under my hand, at the city of Washington, the seventeeth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-eight and the independence of the United States the sixty-third.
