TALLADEGA COUNTY
                                            This indenture made the 10th day of August in 
the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine between  THOMAS K. PURSLEY 
trustee of the state of  GEORGIA  and the county of CATOOSA  of the one part and  JONATHAN 
ETRIS  of the other part .   _______? That the said  THOMAS K PURSLEY  TRUSTEE for  and in 
consideration of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and
delivery og these presents ( the reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged) hath granted 
bargained, sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant, bargain, sell, and convey 
unto the said  JONATHAN ETRIS his heirs and assign all that tract  or parcel  of land lying 
and being in the county of TALLADEGA and state of Alabama designated and known as the west 
half of the south west quarter of section three in township twenty of range eight..
to have qand to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto the said JONATHAN ETRIS  his 
heirs and assigns, together with all and singular the rights , members and app--------------?
thereof , to the same in any matter  belonging  to him and his own proper use benefit and 
behaveof in fee simple : the the said  THOMAS K. PURSLEY for himself his heirs executors 
and administrators the said bargained, promises unto the said  JONATHAN ETRIS his heirs and 
assigns , will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against the claim of 
all other persons whatever.
    In testamony whereof the said THOMAS K. PURSLEY  hath hereunto set his hand and affixed 
his seal this day and year above written.
