This Indenture made and entered into on this the --day of March AD 1887 by and between W S WILLIAMS and his wife M L A WILLIAMS of the county of Talladega and state of Alabama, parties of the first part, and Jno C WILLIAMS of the county of Talladega of the second part. WITNESSETH that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and seventy five dollars, to them in hand paid by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said parties of the first part do, by these presents, give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part all that certain lot or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Talladega and State of Alabama, more particularly, described as follows, to wit: A part of the West half of subdivision two of lot numbered 207 in a plat and survey, made of what was called and known as the Heney lands, and attached as Exhibit B to the original bill of complaints filed in the office of the Register in Chancery of the County of Talladega wherein W J CUNNINGHAM et al are complainants and Annie FAIN and D B GRAVES as Addur et al are respondents, which lot of land in particularly described as follows: Beginning at hte northwest corner of the lot around by W S WILLIAMS and running thence south along the western boundary line of said lot a distance of 70 feet to a point, and thence east in an easterly direction along a line parallel with the northern boundary line of said lot a distance of 130 feet to a point, and thence in a northerly direction on a line parallel with the western boundary line of said lot to a point a distance of 70 feet and thence in a westerly direction to the point of beginning all in the City of Talladega, and the said Mrs. M L A WILLIAMS for and in consideration of the premises aforesaid does by these presents release and forever defend all her right to dower in and to the land and premises hereinbefore described, and each and every portion thereof: To have and to hold, the said land and premises together with all the tenements and appurtenances, rights and privileges thereunto belonging, or in, of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first part for their heirs, executors, and administrators, do by these presents, covenant to and with the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they will warrant and forever defend the title to the premises hereinbefore conveyed agains the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. W S WILLIAMS (Seal) M L A WILLIAMS (Seal) The State of Alabama, Talladega County: I, Geo K Miller, Judge of Probate, in and for the said county in said state, hereby certify that W S WILLIAMS and his wilfe M L A WILLIAMS whose names are signed to the foregoing conveyance, and who are known to me, acknowledged before me on this day, that being informed of the contents of the conveyance, they executed the same voluntarily on the day the same bears date. I, Geo K Miller, Judge of Probate in and for said county and state, do hereby certify that on the .....day of March 1887. came before me, the within named M L A WILLIAMS, known to me to be the wife of W S WILLLIAMS who, being examined separate and apart from the husband, touching her signature to the within deed, acknowledged that she signed the same of her own free will and accord, and without fear, constraint, or threats on the part of the husband.
