Married Thomas Washington Chaney, Feb. 9, 1867 in same county. He enlisted Aug. 13, 1861 in Co. A., 8th Miss. Cav. Paroled at Hillsboro, N.C. May 3, 1865. Witnesses, W.S. Pearson of same Regt. He was born Oct. 23, 1837, died Mar 10, 1903. Canton Cemetery. (Mary's death certificate # 59 filed Oct. 25, 1924, states that she was the daughter of Robert McClellen, name of mother not listed. She died on Oct., 14, 1924 and was buried on Oct. 15th. S. F. Hillard of Canton was the undertaker. Mary died of bronchial pneumonia. Her physician was Willard C. Hearin of Canton, Texas.)
