Taul Bradford Dead ------------------ This distinguished citizen of Alabama died, of pulmonary consumption, at this home in Talladega, on Sunday last. He was born in Alabama, and illustrated his native State by his gallantry and heroism as an officer in the Confederate army, and his distinguished ability and fidelity as a lawyer, a member of the State Legislature, and a Representative from the Third District in the u. S. Congress from 1874 to 1876. He was, repeatedly, presented by his friends as a candidate for U. S. Senator. If he had been elected, we believe that his well-stored, philosophical, analytical, and logical mind, and sound, patriotic, Democratic principles, fearlessly and ably maintained, would have earned fame for himself and been of great practical benefit to his State and the whole country. We deeply deplore his death in the prime of his usefulness.
