Ashland Progress
Mrs. S. A. Cox, the aged mother of Mrs. P. O. Randall of this city, died last 
Thursday at Mrs. Randall's where she made her home. She was eighty odd years old 
and had been quite feeble for some time. Her remains; were carried to Pleasant 
Grove Baptist church six miles beyond Talladega, Saturday for burial, this being 
her old home church. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. P. J. Fleming. The 
deceased is survived by two daughters Mrs. Randall, and Mrs. Sparks, of LaGrange, 
and by one son, J. E. Cox, who resides in Texas.
