Mr. Scott was born in Talladega February 8, 1849. On April 18, 1891, he was united in marriage with Miss Annie Scott, of Clay County, who survives him. During the war between the States Mr. Scott was a member of Home Guards and after the war he went to Texas and was with the Texas Rangers and did service for several years along the frontier. Mr. Scott was well known through- out this section and leaves many friends and acquaintances. His funeral service was held on the 6th conducted by Rev. T.M. Callaway.
