Service Record: Per the Muster Roll of Co. F, 21 Regiment Georgia Volunteer 
Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia, CSA, Troup County, Georgia, Ben Hill 
Volunteers. 
Tapley, Southy T. 2nd Corporal, July 9, 1861.
Appointed 3rd Sergeant, July 4, 1862.
Captured at Harrisonburg, VA, Sept. 25, 1864.
Paroled at Point Lookout, Maryland and transferred to Aiken's Landing, Virginia 
for exchange March 17, 1865.
Received at Boulware & Cox's Warves, James River, Virginia, March 19, 1865.

- no further record." Have been unable to locate pension papers for Southey 
Tapley/Tarpley in either Alabama or Georgia.
