Approximately 2 miles east of Alexander City in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, on the right side of the road going in the direction of the 280 Highway. Powell Lassiter] Additional Comments: According to the recollections of Sarah Neighbors Graves in her compilation, "As I Remember," since her mother Sophia's "disease had not been clearly diagnosed, the student doctors from the school at Dadeville [Alabama] might like to hold an autopsy to find the cause of her death. At that time graves were sometimes robbed for that purpose. Papa was advised to bury Mamma in our yard and move her body in a few months to a church cemetery. It was never moved.
