MOLLIE BELL DENNIS: She was born about 1891 and died on 23 Jan 1912 in Tallapoosa Co. She was the daughter of Henry W. Ray and Nancy (maiden name unknown). She married Homer F. Dennis in 1909 in Tallapoosa Co FRANK HENDRICKS: He was the child of Thomas A. and Sarah S. Hendricks. He died before 1910. Thomas A. Hendricks is the brother of Franklin Hendricks who married Barbury Ray. ARCH HENDRICKS: He was the son of Thomas A. and Sarah S. Hendricks. He died before 1910. Thomas A. Hendricks is the brother of Franklin Hendricks who married Barbury Ray. ARON RAY: He was born about 1830. He was the son of Elijah and Barbara Ray. He married Eliza Ann Ray in 1849 in Tallapoosa Co. He died between 1900 and 1910. BARBURY RAY: She was born about 1849. She was the daughter of Henry Ray and Mary L. Stagner. She married Franklin Hendricks in 1871 in Tallapoosa Co. and died between 1875 and 1880. HOUSTON JARVIS: He was born about 1882 and married Johnie Loudy (maiden name unknown). He appears in the Tallapoosa census record from 1900 thru 1930. He does not appear to have a Ray connection and would have died after the lake began filling. HENRY RAY: He was born about 1824 and was the son of Elijah and Barbary Ray. He married Mary L. Stagner in 1844 in Tallapoosa Co., and died before 1880. JAMES KELLY: James M. Kelley was born about 1873 and died 5 Jun 1910 in Tallapoosa C. He married Eliza Stagner in 1890 in Tallapoosa Co. KATHRAN STAGNER: She was born between 1820 and 1828 in GA and was never married. She last appears in the Tallapoosa census record in 1880. UNCLE ANDREW PLYMALE: He was born about 1820 in South Carolina. He is last found in the Tallapoosa census record in 1880, living the household containing Catherine Stagner. He had lived with Catherine’s mother, Rachel Stagner at least since 1850 and came with the Stagner family from Jasper Co., Georgia. RAY: He was born 28 Oct 1861 and died 13 Jun 1898. Henry W. married Nancy B. (maiden name unknown). Henry W. was the son Henry Ray and Mary L. Stagner. HENRY GRAY, JR.: See the Ray Cemetery listing. LILLIE HENDRICKS: See the Ray Cemetery listing. ELIZA DENNIS: She was born about 1856 and died before 1880. She was the daughter of Henry Ray and Mary L. Stagner. She married William Dennis in 1872 in Tallapoosa Co. MARY L. RAY: She was born about 1825 in Georgia as Mary L. Stagner. She last appears in the Tallapoosa census record in 1880. She married Henry Ray in 1844 in Tallapoosa Co. BABE VICKERS: Unknown RACHEL STAGNER: She was born about 1780 in South Carolina and is last seen on the 1860 Tallapoosa Co., census. It is thought, but not proven, that she was the wife of Daniel Stagner. MARTHA HOWARD: She was born in May of 1855 and died before 1910. She was the daughter of Henry Ray and Mary L. Stagner. She married Frank B. Howard in 1890 in Tallapoosa Co. Many of the people buried here are the descendants of Elijah Ray and Barbara (maiden name unknown). Elijah was born about 1801 in Georgia to Solomon Ray and Jane Echols. Elijah died before 23 Jan 1833 in Meriwether Co., GA. A deed between Elijah’s brother, Ransom Ray, and Barbara Ray names Elijah’s children, as Eunice Ray, Henry Ray, George W. Ray and Aaron C. Ray. Barbara Ray died 8 Mar 1879 in Tallapoosa Co., AL. 1
