GAMBLE ET AL; ESTATE OF BENJAMIN ADAIR 1866 The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County Know all men by these Presents, That we George M. Gamble, William M. Adair and James M. Adair are held and firmly bound unto Allen D. Sturdivant, Judge of the Court of Probate for said County, and his successors in office, in the penal sum of One thousand Dollars; for which payment, well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 11th day of December 1866. The Condition of the Above Obligation is Such, That whereas the above bound George M. Gamble has been appointed Administrator [can’t read] of the Estate of Benjamin Adair deceased: Now, if the said George M. Gamble shall well and truly perform all the duties which are or may be by law required of him as such Administrator, then the above obligation to be void; otherwise, to remain in full force. G. M.
