Tallapoosa County		}

Know all men by these presents that we William H. GOODWIN and John A. JORDAN 
of the County and state aforesaid are held and firmly bound unto M. C. LANE Judge of 
the Court of Probate for said County and his successars in office in the penal sum of Five 
hundred Dollars: for which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind 
ourselves our heirs Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally firmly by these 
presents Sealed with our seals and dated this Eighth day of September 1851:

The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound William H. 
GOODWIN has been appointed Guardian of the Estate of Catherine GOODWIN & 
William H. H. GOODWIN minors. Now if the said William H. GOODWIN shall well 
and truly perform all the duties which are or may be by law required of him as such 
guardian then the above obligation to be void: otherwise to remain in full force.
