All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/al/alfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly GIles Loffler beverly@jloffler.com March 13, 2005, 7:38 pm Source: Tallapoosa Co., Al Probate Written: April 27, 1863 Transcribed by Beverly Giles Loffler beverly@jloffler.com Tallapoosa Co., AL Probate Minutes, General Orders, Decrees 1861-1865 Page 301 LDS Microfilm Number 1769633 Salt Lake City UT ESTATE OF FRANKLIN FARROW; ORDER APPOINTING ADMINISTRATOR 1863 Franklin Farrow, deceased, estate of Letters of Administration Probate Court April 27th 1863 This day came John Gunn and made application praying to be appointed to the administration of said estate, alleging that said decedent who was an inhabitant of this state at the time of his death, departed this life intestate in the County more than fifteen days since leaving property in the state of the value of about three thousand dollars, and probably not more to the best of the applicants knowledge information and belief, and the Court being satisfied from proof that the allegations in the application are substantially true, and it being duly made to appear to the Court that Mrs. Mary Farrow the widow of said decedent has declined to administer upon the affairs of said estate, by filling [sic, filing] her written relinquishment and filed the same in the office of the Judge of this Court. And recommending the affairs of said estate, and the said John Gunn having given bond in the sum of six thousand dollars with W. L. Banks and Richmond Fields as his securities therein which bond with such securities therein has been duly taken and approved as good and sufficient by the Judge of this Court. It is ordered, adjudged and decreed that said John Gunn be and he is hereby appointed to administer said estate, and that the proper letters of administration do issue to him forthwith. It is further ordered that an appraisement of said estate be made, that John Gunn, D. Young, Franklin Allen and John Taylor be and they are hereby appointed and authorized to appraise said estate, and that they have due notice of this appointment. Allen D.
