BERRY ET AL; ESTATE OF SILAS RAY 1861 The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County Know all men by these Presents, That we James M. Ray, Daniel Ray, James M. Sowell and Ransom Ray are held and firmly bound unto Allen D. Sturdivant, Judge of the Court of Probate for said County of Tallapoosa, and his successors in office, in the penal sum of Twelve thousand Dollars; for which payment, well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 18th day of June 1861. The Condition of the Above Obligation is Such, That whereas the above bound James M. Berry has been appointed Executor of the Estate of Silas Ray deceased: Now, if the said James M. Berry shall well and truly perform all the duties which are or may be by law required of him as such Executor, then the above obligation to be void; otherwise, to remain in full force. James M.
