M. & A. L. MORROW TO S. R. RAY 1911 The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County Know all men by these presents, that J. M. Morrow and wife A. L. Morrow for and in consideration of Five Hundred Dollars, to us in hand paid by S. R. Ray, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, and confirm unto the said S. R. Ray the following described real estate, lying in the County of Tallapoosa, State of Alabama to wit; The West half of the South East Fourth of Section fifteen, Township Twenty two of Range Twenty two containing eighty acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid premises to the said S. R. Ray his heirs and assigns, to their use and behoof, forever, And we do hereby covenant with the said S. R. Ray his heirs and assigns, that we are lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises; that they are free from all incumbrances; that we have a good right to sell and convey the same to the said S. R. Ray his heirs and we hereby warrant and covenant to defend the title to said premises to the said S. R. Ray his heirs and assigns, forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons. In witness Whereof, we hereunto set our hands and seals this 13 day of Dec 1911. J. M. Morrow-his mark A. L. Morrow-her mark The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County I, J. L. Shepard, NP and Justice of the Peace in and for the said State and County, hereby certify that J. M. Morrow and wife A. L. Morrow, whose names are signed to the foregoing conveyance and who are known to me, acknowledged before me on this day, that being informed of the contents of the conveyance they executed the same voluntarily, on the day the same bears date. Given under my hand, this 13th day of Dec 1911 J. L. Shepard, NP and J. P. Im J. L. Shepard, a NP and a JP in and for said County and State, do hereby certify that on the 13 day of December, 1911, came before me the within named A. L. Morrow known to me to be the wife of the within named J. M. Morrow who, being by me examined separate and apart from the husband touching her signature to the foregoing conveyance, acknowledged that she signed the same of her own free will and accord, and without fear, constraint, or threats on the part of the husband.
