SILAS RAY AND SARAH RAY TO WILLIAM RAY 1859

The State of Alabama
Tallapoosa County

Know all men by these presents, that us Silas Ray & Sarah Ray for and in 
consideration of Four Hundred Dollars, to us in hand paid by William Ray, the 
receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell, 
enfeoff, and confirm unto the said William Ray his heirs assigns the following 
described land to wit; The South East quarter of the South East quarter of 
Section thirty two and the South West quarter of the South West quarter of 
Section thirty three all of Township twenty two and range twenty two lying and 
being in the County of Tallapoosa and State of Alabama subject (to sale at 
Montgomery Alabama).To have and to hold the aforesaid premises to the said 
William Ray his heirs and assigns, to their use and behoof, forever, And we do 
hereby covenant with the said William Ray his heirs and assigns, that we are 
lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises; that they are free from 
all incumbrances; that we have a good right to sell and convey the same to the 
said William Ray his heirs and we hereby warrant and covenant to defend the 
title to said premises to the said William Ray his heirs and assigns, forever, 
against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.  In witness Whereof, we 
the said Silas Ray and Sarah Ray hereunto set our hands and seals this 29 day 
of Dec 1859.
