W. FARROW AND M. A. FARROW TO S. M. B. RAY 1895 The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County Know all men by these presents, that g. w. Farrow and wife M. A. Farrow for and in consideration of Four Hundred Dollars, to us in hand paid by S. M. B. Ray, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, and confirm unto the said S. M. B. Ray the following described real estate, lying in the County of Tallapoosa, State of Alabama to wit; All that part of Section 30 Township 22 range 22 that lies South of the road leading from Dadeville to Walkers Ferry on Tallapoosa River also four acres of same Section on the North side of said road known as the Wash L. Walker house also one half acre on the North side of said road in the same Section known as the Gin lot said land known as part of the Wash L. Walker lands containing one hundred four and one half acres all in Tallapoosa County State of Alabama. To have and to hold the aforesaid premises to the said S. M. B. Ray his heirs and assigns, to their use and behoof, forever, And we do hereby covenant with the said S. M. B. Ray his heirs and assigns, that we are lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises; that they are free from all incumbrances; that we have a good right to sell and convey the same to the said S. M. B. Ray his heirs and we hereby warrant and covenant to defend the title to said premises to the said S. M. B. Ray his heirs and assigns, forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons. In witness Whereof, we hereunto set our hands and seals this 10 day of Dec 1895. G. W. Farrow M. E. (sic) Farrow The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County I, C. D. Henderson, a JP in and for the said State and County, hereby certify that G. W. Farrow, whose name is signed to the foregoing conveyance and who is known to me, acknowledged before me on this day, that being informed of the contents of the conveyance they executed the same voluntarily, on the day the same bears date. Given under my hand, this 10th day of Dec 1895. C. D. Henderson J. P. I, C. D. Henderson a JP in and for said County and State, do hereby certify that on the 10 day of December, 1895, came before me the within named M. A. Farrow known to me to be the wife of the within named G. W. Farrow who, being by me examined separate and apart from the husband touching her signature to the foregoing conveyance, acknowledged that she signed the same of her own free will and accord, and without fear, constraint, or threats on the part of the husband.
