PAGE 1855 The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County Know all men by these presents that I James [sic] Ray of Tallapoosa County aforesaid for and in consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars to in hand paid by John Bostock and Wm. Page the receipt whereof is [sic] I do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant bargain sell enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Bostock and William Page their heirs and assigns all that piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in Tallapoosa County afore said known and distinguished as the North East quarter of the South West quarter of Section thirty three (33) in Township twenty two (22) of Range twenty two (22) East subject to sale at the Land Office at Montgomery Alabama. To have and to hold the afore granted premises to the said John Bostock and William Page their heirs and assigns to their use and behoof forever and I do covenant with the said John Bostock and William Page their heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized in fee of the above granted premises that they are free of all encumbrances that I have a good right to sell and convey the same to the said John Bostock and William Page their heirs and assigns and that I will warrant and defend the said premises to the said John Bostock and William Page their heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons. In witness whereof I the said Henry Ray have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five. Henry Ray-his mark Signed and sealed in the presence of The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County I Matthew Lyle Judge of Probate for said County hereby certify that Henry Ray whose name is signed to the fore going conveyance & who is known to me acknowledged before me on this day that being informed of the contents of the conveyance he executed the same voluntarily on the day the same bears date.
