Ray of the sum of four hundred dollars and in consideration hereof convey set [can’t read] and confirm unto the said Samuel T. Ray one hundred and fifteen acres of land more or less on the west end of the South half of section twenty, 20, Township Twenty four 24, and five acres of said section commencing at the corner of said one hundred and fifteen acres and running north on said line to the branch and above said branch to the corner and thereon south to the line to the corner. To have and to hold the said premises and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Samuel T. Ray his heirs and assigns forever. We William Winslett and wife Elvarin Winslett forever warrant the same against ourselves heirs and assigns [can’t read] the lawful claims of all person. Bradley who is known to me who after being duly sworn deposith and saith that he was present and saw the grantors sign the within conveyance in his presence voluntarily and that he was called upon to witness the same together with the other subscribing witness to the same this July 9th 1861.
