Ray and his wife Mollie Ray, for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and Seventy one Dollars, to us in hand paid by Mary Frances Taylor, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff and convey unto the said Mary Frances Taylor the following described lands and personal property, to wit; All that part pf Section (30) Township (22) Range (22) as lies South of the Road leading from Dadeville to Walkers Ferry on the Tallapoosa River, also four acres of same Section on the North side of said Road, known as the Wash. L. Walker house and Orchard as now enclosed by fence and occupied by John Ray, also one half Acre on the North side of said Road in said Section, on which is situated a Gin House & screw, known as the Russell Gin House, said lands known as a part of Wash. L. Walker lands, containing One hundred and four and one half acres. It being understood that the purpose of this Deed to convey my entire interest in said lands. Also all my entire interest in and to one yoke of Oxen, named respectively Tom and Jerry. One Cow named Flower & her Calf, one three quarter Iron Axle Wagon, also all my interest in the household and kitchen furniture now in possession of Mary Ray, and one lot of Hogs now on hand on the place above conveyed. To have and to hold the afore granted premises and personal property to the said Mary Frances Taylor, her heirs and assigns to their use and behoof forever, free from the use and control of the husband of said Mary Frances Taylor. And we do covenant with the said Mary Frances Taylor, her heirs and assigns that we are seized lawfully in fee of the afore granted premises, that they are free of all encumbrances, except a Mortgage held by Silas Farrow, which said grantee agrees to pay off as a part of the afore mentioned consideration, that we have a good right to sell and convey the same to said Mary Frances Taylor, and that we warrant and defend the titles to the same unto the said Mary Frances Taylor, her heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof we the said John S. Ray and Mollie Ray have hereunto set our hands and seals, this the 4th day of December A. D. 1886. J. S. Ray-his seal M. A. Ray-his seal Witness; Silas Farrow, J. P. J.. M. Fields State of Alabama Tallapoosa County I, Silas Farrow a Justice of the Peace in and for said County and State, hereby certify that John S. Ray whose name is singed to the foregoing conveyance and who is known to me, acknowledged before me on this day, that being informed of the contents of the conveyance, he executed the same voluntarily on the day the same bears date. And I do further certify that on this the 4th day of December 1886, came before me the within named Mollie Ray, known to me to be the wife of the within named John S. Ray, who being by me examined separate and apart from her husband, touching her signature to the within Conveyance, acknowledged that she signed the same of her own free will and accord and without fear, constraint or threats on the part of her husband. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this the 4th day of December A. D. 1886. Silas Farrow, J. P.
