Ray and his wife Mary J. Ray of the one part and Seaborn H. Veasey of the other part; all of the County and State aforesaid; witnesseth that the said John C. Ray and wife as aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars to them in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed unto the said Seaborn H. Veasey all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in said County and State and known and commencing at the North East Corner of the S. E. ¼ of Section (12) Twelve Township (23) twenty three of Range (21) Twenty One in County and State aforesaid running forty rods due South, thence Two hundred rods due west, thence forty rods due North, thence Two hundred rods due East to the commencement Corner, being fifty acres more or less, to have and to hold and the said John C. Ray and Mary J. Ray will warrant and defend the right and title unto the said Seaborn H. Veasey his heirs and assigns against our claim or the claims of any other persons whatsoever to his own proper use and benefit and behoof in fee simple. John C. Ray-his seal Mary J.
