G. ANDREWS to H. J. PICKARD The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County Know all men by these presents, that I Alfred G. ANDREWS of the county and state aforesaid, make, ordain, constitute and appoint and by these presents do make ordain constitute, nominate deputy and appoint, Henry J. PICKARD my true and lawful attorney, to ask, obtain and receive of and from John M. MASON Administrator of Thomas MASON deceased of the state of Georgia and county of Hancock all such [summs] or sum of money as is or may be due owing and of right coming to me the said Alfred G. ANDREWS as aforesaid from the estate of said Thomas MASON deceased which I am duly and legally entitled to from the said estate of aforesaid as I the said Alfred G. ANDREWS am entitled to the amount of said estate which to and is legally due and owing to Parthuna daughter of said deceased, now the wife and consort of John CANNON of the county and state first aforesaid, and I the said Alfred G. ANDREWS do hereby ratify and confirm whatsoever my said attorney Henry J. PICKARD of the county of Tallapoosa and state of Alabama may do in the premises, and my said attorney is hereby authorized to use my name and sign any receipt or acquittance and all such other papers as may be necessary in my name place and stead, and he is authorized, hereby to act in the premises in receiving and receipting or suing in my name place and stead as fully as I the said Alfred G. ANDREWS might, could or ought to do if I was personally present and I do hereby confirm all such acts as my said attorney may do in the foregoing power granted. SPEAKE Esq. whose signature appears to the foregoing attestation, is, and was on the day of the date thereof an acting justice of the peace duly commissioned and sworn as the law directs and that full faith and credit is, and should be allowed all his attestations as such.
