All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/al/alfiles.htm ************************************************ Tribble Dorothy J Maj AFLMA Thu, 29 Apr 1999 Tallapoosa Co AL 1852 Land Deed - Whiteker to Davis John Whiteker & wife To Clement Davis The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County This indenture mad this the twenty Eight day of February 1852 between John Whiteker of the one part and Cement Davis, all of the County and State aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of forty dollars to us in hand paid Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained, sold and delivered unto the said Clement Davis, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, containing fifteen acres of land, the same being known as being in the South west corner of Section four in Township Nineteen of Range Twenty-one in the district of land subject to sale at Montgomery, Alabama, to have and to hold the above bargained promises to the said Clement Davis, his heirs and assigns forever, and I the said John Whiteker bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the above described land unto the said Clement Davis, his heirs and assigns forever, and also from the claims of all other persons claiming the same, or any part of the same. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the date and date above written. The State of Alabama Tallapoosa County Before me Thomas Landen an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally appeared John Whiteker and Nancy Whiteker of said state and county, who acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the within deed to Clement Davis of said County and State above for the considerations therein named.
