N. J. Simmons petitioned for her name to be added to the pension roll  as a 
member of the 4th class for relief of needy Confederate soldiers and sailors 
and their widows. She states that she is a citizen of Lee County, Alabama. She 
also submits that her husband, T. S. Simmons,  died on 7 Dec. 1904.
 Mr. Ashby Floyd signed an affidavit for witness to her application stating 
that he knew T.S. Simmons and that he died on the date mentioned. The affidavit 
was sworn before J.B. Page,Justice of the Peace for Lee County, Alabama.
