It had been nearly 52 years since I was in the church house, but church, cemetery and surroundings looked very much the same, only the cemetery was much larger than when I last saw it which accounted for the absence of many faces I once met there. I was accompanied by my friend, Jim Holdridge and little daughter and Miss Curlee. He as well as myself was also reared in that section of the county. The day was spent in singing and at noon a bountiful dinner was spread in the shade of the beautiful grove that surrounds the church. It so happened that I was the oldest man present and was called on to "ask the blessing," which I did in my feeble way, but I think I was a much better hand at the table than I was at "gracing the table." This homecoming is an annual affair and is attended by hundreds of people from far and near. May I go again. L. B. GIBSON.
