Death Notices From THE SIFTINGS (Alexander City)

February 18, 1910:

Mr. John BRITT, Sr., died at his home near Jackson’s Gap, Wednesday night of 
Bright’s Disease. He was 78 years old and served as a soldier in the 
Confederate Army. He leaves a wife, nine children, two brothers and four 
sisters to mourn his death. Mr. BRITT was the father of Mr. John BRITT, Jr., 
formerly of this city.
