T. Devore. Mr. J. T. Devore, of Route 3, died at his home Thursday, October 5, 1939. Funeral and burial Services were held at Rock Springs church at 2:30 Saturday, October 7, Rev. Grady Birchfield officiating, Cantrell directing. Mr. Devore was a well-known farmer of that section and was widely known. He is survived by his wife, two sons, D. A. of Birmingham, and R. A. of Baileyton, Ala. Two daughters, Mrs. H. P. Sims, of Route 3, and Mrs. G. W. Dye, also of Route 3. Additional Comments: John Thomas Devore was born June 27, 1870, and was married to Susie Celester Hill. They had 5 children: Dudley, Jackson, Esther, LaVernie, and Rueben (Dock) Devore.
