J.T. Dunn Passes.  Saturday August 20, J.T. Dunn died at his home after a 
lingering illness.  Mr. Dunn was 83 years and 18 days old at the time of his 
death.  He was born in Alabama andlived there until December 1906, when he came 
to Byers.  For the pas ten years he had been engaged in the dry good and 
grocery business.  He was postmaster in Byers from November 1914 toJune 1921, 
having made for himself a wide acquaintance of friends.  Funeral services were 
conducted Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church with the pastor, Reverend 
Joseph D. Thomas, officiating.  Internment was in the Riverside cemetery.  A 
large concourse of relatives and friends were in attendance.  We are made to 
remember the old must die and the young do die.  Survivors include the widow 
and one son and one daughter, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
